Problem
Metagame numbers for Pokémon Champions VGC are scattered across tournament team sheets and ladder statistics, and are easy to misread or over-claim.
Approach
- A data pipeline pulls real tournament team sheets and ladder statistics.
- The browser aggregates every number itself, using Wilson intervals, and shows "Insufficient data" instead of guessing.
- Every chart cross-filters, and the filter state lives in the URL so a view can be shared.
Result
A free, static dashboard on Cloudflare Pages that refreshes weekly through GitHub Actions with failure alerting.
- Tournament and ladder data
- Pipeline
- In-browser aggregation
- Cross-filtering dashboard
MetaLens VGC is a free, static metagame dashboard for Pokémon Champions (VGC 2026, regulations M-A/M-B/M-C), deployed on Cloudflare Pages. Every number is aggregated in the browser from real tournament team sheets and ladder/ranked statistics pulled by a data pipeline — nothing is invented or curve-fitted, and widgets say “Insufficient data” rather than guess.
The dashboard is fully cross-filtering: clicking any Pokémon, type, item, move, archetype, core or team adds a filter chip and every chart (usage leaderboard with Wilson intervals, type/item landscape, archetype matchups, teammate co-usage, speed tiers, weekly trends) recomputes live, with filter state shareable via the URL. It also includes a “My Team Scanner” that evaluates a pasted team against real matchup data. A GitHub Actions workflow refreshes the underlying data weekly with failure alerting, and the UI ships in two skins (Pro/Retro) with full light/dark support.
