Privacy Policy

The Short Version
This is Vincent Wesley's personal portfolio site. It has no user accounts, no newsletter, and no forms other than the contact form described below. It does not run analytics or advertising of any kind, and this site sets no cookies. A handful of browser-local preferences (colour theme, background style, and similar) are stored only on your own device — see the Cookies & Local Storage Policy for the full, specific list.
What This Site Does Not Collect
There is no sign-up, login, newsletter, or comment system anywhere on this site. The "Contact" section offers an email link (mailto:), links to the owner's social profiles, and the contact form described below. The email link and the social links submit nothing to this website. If you choose to email the owner directly, that email is handled like any normal email and is not covered by this policy (it's between you and the owner's email provider).
The contact form is a separate option. This site has no database and stores nothing itself, but the form passes what you submit to two processors, described below, and the message is kept by them and in the owner's inbox.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (bot check) receives the challenge response and your IP address. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Web3Forms (delivery) receives your name, email address and message, and forwards them to the owner's email inbox. Web3Forms may keep a copy under its own policy; see Web3Forms' Privacy Policy.
The owner keeps messages received this way in their email inbox for as long as needed to reply, and deletes them on request.
Analytics
This site does not currently use any analytics or visitor-tracking service. If that ever changes (for example, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool), this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what is collected and why.
Third-Party Content Embedded on This Site
A few pieces of content are loaded from other services. Loading any web page causes your browser to request resources from wherever they're hosted, which can expose ordinary technical information (like your IP address and browser type) to that host — the same as visiting that service's own site directly. Specifically:
- YouTube videos are never embedded automatically — a video only loads after you click its play button, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced "no-cookie" domain. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile and Web3Forms are used by the contact form only; see "What This Site Does Not Collect" above.
- GitHub avatar images (for open-source projects shown on the professional side) and Pokémon Showdown sprite images (on the personal side) load automatically as ordinary images when you scroll to those sections. See GitHub's Privacy Statement and Pokémon Showdown for their own practices.
Hosting and Server Logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually any web host, Cloudflare's infrastructure may keep standard access logs (such as IP address, request time, and requested page) for security and operational purposes. The site owner does not use these logs for tracking or profiling visitors.
Data Retention
This site itself keeps no personal data. If you use the contact form, your message stays in the owner's email inbox until deleted, and Web3Forms and Cloudflare may retain data under their own policies. To have a message deleted, contact the owner (see "Your Rights").
Your Rights
The site owner is based in Singapore. If you have any question about how this site handles data — including a request under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) or any similar law that applies to you — contact [email protected].
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too.
